With fall rolling in, it’s almost festival season and at Alta Easterly we love the unique people and atmosphere that comes along with it. If you like meeting new friends, and experiencing something different from the everyday, escape from routine and head to these fall festivals all of them just a short drive from Walpole, MA!
The Boylston Schul-Verein (BSV) does a great job with their annual Oktoberfest event in Walpole. Here you’ll find all the bratwurst, German-style brews, and lederhosen you can imagine. In addition to the classic Oktoberfest findings, there’s great local music, archery target shooting, and a variety of games for the little ones!
Festival at the Farm
One of our favorites, Festival at the Farm describes itself as “the small-sized music festival that you have been waiting for”. Spend the weekend enjoying everything from music to yoga and backyard games with the Blue Hills as your backdrop. With a lineup that includes Amos Lee, Trampled by Turtles, Joseph, and more great bands, Festival at the Farm is a great opportunity to see the bands you love. What sets this festival apart is the farmers market, artist vendors, and games that create a fun environment for everyone!
Sukkot on the Farm
Sukkot is a week-long Jewish holiday celebrates the gathering of the harvest. On September 30th head to the Powisset Farm to celebrate the agricultural roots of Sukkot. This is a great opportunity for kids and adults alike, to learn about the celebration while having fun building and decorating your Sukkah and helping with the harvest. Enjoy a day on the farm like never before on this community celebration that welcomes everyone.
